Watch: 'Brigitte Quinn's 22 Minutes' With Artie Lange

In this installment of "22 Minutes," 1010 WINS anchor Brigitte Quinn sits down with comedian and actor Artie Lange.

Lange opened up about his new television show, working on "The Howard Stern Show," and more.

BQ: Do you do a lot of political humor?

AL: It's so easy. It's like a softball coming in and out. For a while Hillary Clinton was losing to a guy, Bernie Sanders, who is 111 years old. You know how you assassinate Bernie Sanders? You just have to wait.

BQ: Are you a Trump guy, Artie?

AL: Yeah, I golfed with Donald Trump a couple of times. He's a nice guy. He's like he is on TV. The temperament thing is his worst nightmare because he's like a big kid. He's like a big eighth grader. I golfed with him and Eli Manning, and by the end of nine holes, Trump and I were goofing on Manning like bullies at a high school! It's Trump being Trump. He would do that with any world leader. But Hillary Clinton, she's just an egomaniac. Why would you want that job? She wants a job to go to an office every day where her husband had sex with a fat chick. Her husband had sex with someone that looks like me in a beret in the oval office. That's a sickness.

BQ: Why do you think Trump wants to be president?

AL: The ego. Of course he wants to be president! That whole family -- Eric Trump, every time he does a rehearsed interview he says the word amazing 50,000 times. And he's got that white stuff on his lips, the nervous stuff. And he's gonna say something wrong. He's gonna say he's on his way to a clan meeting or something.

BQ: When you're working comedy now, do you have to worry about being politically correct?

AL: Oh God, yeah. With Twitter, it changed the game. It used to be if it was at midnight at a place, it was just you and the 300 people in that room. You could say anything you wanted. Now with Twitter, it's the whole world in the room with the phones and everything. It just takes one person to get offended and you might lose your job. Comedy is too safe, people are afraid to take a risk.

Artie Lange is headlining at Carolines on Broadway through Saturday, September 17. You can visit their website for ticketing information.
