NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- An 84-year-old woman was robbed while waiting for a bus in the Bronx on Wednesday.

The woman was sitting on a bus stop bench on East 174th Street when a man grabbed her purse off her shoulder and took off, police said.

On Sunday, 86-year-old Bernice Starnes was sitting in her wheelchair outside her Bronx building when police said a woman stole her purse. Adrianne Terry, 37, of the Bronx, was charged with grand larceny and petit larceny in connection with the alleged theft Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Last week, surveillance video captured a man allegedly stealing $600 from an elderly woman's bra as she sat in a wheelchair at a store in East Harlem. The suspect in that case was later arrested and charged.
