Boomer and Craig were at each other's throats Thursday morning and to put it plain and simple, the Mets were to blame.
The guys had at it just hours after the lowly Braves completed a three-game sweep that was cemented by a game-saving catch in the bottom of the ninth. Luckily for the Mets, the Cardinals and Giants also lost Wednesday night, meaning there is still a three-way tie for the top NL wild card spot.
Oh yeah, the Yankees played, too. That guy Gary Sanchez continued the historic start to his career with two more homers and five more RBI as the Bombers beat Tampa Bay, 11-5, to move back within 2 1/2 games of the second wild card spot in the AL.
