NYPD: Man Steals $4,000 In Electronics From Brooklyn Apartment

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are searching for a man accused of stealing more than $4,000 worth of electronics from an apartment in Brooklyn earlier this month.

According to police, the suspect, identified only as "Jason," allegedly stole the electronics an apartment on Lenox Road in Brooklyn shortly after midnight on Sept. 2.

Police say the victim, a 51-year-old man, was asleep in the apartment at the time of the burglary. The victim told police that "Jason" was the only other person inside the apartment at the time of the incident.

The NYPD describes the suspect as around 5'11" and weighing 160 pounds. A photo of the suspect can be viewed above.
