Robber Snatches Gold Necklace Off Woman In Brownsville, Brooklyn Playground

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are searching for a man who snatched a gold necklace off a 67-year-old woman in Brownsville, Brooklyn on Tuesday.

The woman was walking in Osborne playground near 985 Rockaway Ave. in Brooklyn around 12:20 p.m. when she was approached by the man.

He grabbed the necklace from her neck and fled on foot, running west on Linden Boulevard, police said.

The necklace was a gold chain with a pendant reading, "Isabel."

The woman was not hurt.

The robber was a described as a black man with a medium complexion, short black hair and dark eyes. He was approximately 30 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a baseball hat, red T-shirt and blue jeans.
