10/2 CBS2 Sunday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

While we didn't see much in the way of rain this afternoon, it was pretty cloudy and it was cool. That'll remain the case through the evening and overnight with cloudy skies, temps bottoming out in the low 50s for the 'burbs to around 60 for NYC. There's also a chance for some patchy fog late overnight.

Tomorrow will be a much warmer day thanks to a combo of southwest winds and a few possible breaks of sun. How do low 70s sound? Unfortunately, we have to keep the chance for a few showers in the forecast, but it's looking like a low chance at this time.

Tuesday will start off damp and drizzly with cool northeast winds and a chance for some light rain. Some sun will return late in the day but it'll only get to the mid 60s.

Looks like sunshine returns for Wednesday and Thursday with dry conditions and temps in the 65 to 70 range. It sure will be nice to see blue skies again!
