Police: Man Dies After Wave Knocks Him Off Coney Island Pier
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A man is dead after a wave knocked him off a Coney Island pier, police said.
The man fell off a jetty near Coney Island Beach in Brooklyn Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Emergency responders pulled him ashore and performed CPR on the unconscious man.
He was taken to a hospital where police said he was declared dead.
The man was in his 20s.
An investigation is ongoing.
