Pet Gadget Showcase Arrives In New York City

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The pet gadget showcase has arrived in New York City, showing the latest trends in coats, costumes and food.

CBS2's Emily Smith reports ten petrepreneurs presented more than 15 new products to a discerning crowd.

"I think this is adorable. He is Pokemon," one person said.

One pup at the showcase is known as Mochi and the City. The dog has more than 66,000 followers on Instagram.

A spider costume was modeled by Ty, an English toy spaniel. His owner, Charlotte Reed, runs the pet gadget showcase.

Reed said it's all about keeping your pet warm and dry.

"So who better than Canada pooch to help you brave the elements," Reed said.

"Cats" Broadway star Georgina Pazcoguin chose a waterproof set with sparkles for her Labrador Jet.

"She just got a pair of booties and she's wearing a business suit, and she had a million treats, so she is in doggy heaven," Pazcoguin said.

The edible treats revolve around all-natural pet food, using real fruit and protein.

Evangers has an entire holiday meal line for pets to dine on daily. It's an all-organic turkey dinner complete with sweet potatoes.

Petmate offers a licensed World Wrestling Entertainment line that doubles as a chew toy collection.

The event made for an interactive day with our furry friends, giving them the royal treatment they deserve.

Most of the products can be found in specialty pet stores.
