Odell Beckham Jr. Named NFC Offensive Player Of The Week

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Odell Beckham Jr.'s jaw-dropping performance against the Baltimore Ravens has earned him NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors.

In the Giants' 27-23 victory at MetLife Stadium, Beckham caught eight passes for a career-high 222 yards and two touchdowns, both long second-half scores. He caught a 75-yard TD from Eli Manning in the third quarter. And his 66-yarder on fourth-and-1 with 1:24 to play in the game proved to be the game winner.

It was the second most receiving yards by a Giant ever -- Del Shofner had 269 yards against the Redskins in 1962. Beckham is the first Giants player with two touchdown receptions of 60 or more yards in the same game since Homer Jones in 1966.

Beckham now has 10 games with at least 140 yards receiving, the most by any player in his first three seasons.

Beckham is the first Giant to win Offensive Player of the Week since Manning did it in Week 14 of last season in a win over the Miami Dolphins.
