NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — Michael Jordan, Bugs Bunny and friends are returning to the court, and theaters, to mark the 20th anniversary of “Space Jam.”
The 1996 basketball-themed adventure, which combined the real life Jordan with animated Looney Tunes characters, will be back on screens in select theaters for two days next month. Fathom Events and Warner Bros. say the screenings will take place on Sunday, Nov. 13, and Wednesday, Nov. 16.
According to Fathom Events’ website, the screenings will take place at the Empire 25 theater on West 42nd Street in Hell’s Kitchen, Union Square 14 theater in downtown Manhattan and Kaufman Theaters in Astoria, Queens.
Other Tri-State locations include:
Long Island: Westbury 12 on Brush Hollow Road in Nassau County, Farmingdale Multiplex Cinemas, Deer Park 16, and Stony Brook 17.
Westchester: New Roc City 18 in New Rochelle, City Center 16, in White Plains, and Showcase Cinema de Lux in Yonkers.
Rockland County: Palisades Center 21, in West Nyack.
New Jersey: Garden State 16, in Paramus, Edgewater 16, Showplace 14 in Secaucus, and Clifton Commons 16, in Clifton.
Connecticut: Landmark 9, in Stamford.
Basketball greats Larry Bird, Charles Barkley and Patrick Ewing also appear in the film, as does Bill Murray, who joins with Jordan to defeat a team of aliens.
