Jets Dealing With Injuries: Lee A Question Mark, Harris Improving

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Jets rookie linebacker Darron Lee has a sprained ankle, and the first-round draft pick's availability is uncertain for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Lee, who has a team-leading 34 tackles, was injured during the third quarter of the Jets' 28-3 loss at Arizona on Monday night. He did not participate in practice Wednesday. Coach Todd Bowles said he was told it's a "normal ankle sprain," so it's likely not a high ankle sprain, which could sideline Lee for several weeks.

Offensive lineman Brent Qvale also sat out after suffering a stinger in the game.

Cornerback Buster Skrine had an excused absence from practice, while defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson (ankle), left tackle Ryan Clady (shoulder) and center Nick Mangold (knee) did not participate.

Linebacker David Harris, whose 121-game playing streak ended because of a hamstring injury, was limited.

Both wide receiver Devin Smith (knee) and right tackle Breno Giacomini (back) were limited in their first practice participation of the season. They can be activated from the reserve/physically unable to perform list at any point after missing six weeks. The Jets now have a three-week window to move Smith and Giacomini to the active roster, place them on season-ending injured reserve, or release them.

Bowles said neither Smith nor Giacomini would play against the Ravens.
