NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Will Yoenis Cespedes be a Met next year?

The Mets slugger is reportedly going to opt out of the final two years on his $47.5 million contract after the end of the World Series.

The 31-year-old outfielder will reportedly seek a five-year deal.

The Mets will pursue Cespedes, but will have plenty of competition.

In 132 games this past season, Cespedes batted .280 with 31 home runs and 86 runs batted in.
