High pressure will gradually settle in and keep our skies bright today. And it will be on the cool side for the trick-or-treaters with temps starting in the mid 50's; then falling into the upper 40's when things are all said and done. Highs today will be in the low to mid 50's.
It will be a tranquil night, but it will be on the chilly side out there. In fact, the NWS has issued a frost advisory for Suffolk county and southern Westchester county. As for the city, temps will fall into the low 40's.
High pressure will be nearby tomorrow while a warm front approaches well off to our west. Expect a mix of sun and clouds with milder highs in the upper 50's.
As for Wednesday, a warmer air mass will be in place, so highs will be running nearly 10° above where they should be this time of the year -- upper 60's.
