NJ Man Killed In Newark Hit-And-Run, Police Say
NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- New Jersey police are investigating after a man was fatally struck by a vehicle in Newark on Tuesday night.
Brandon Lawson, 26, of Rahway, was hit by a Nissan Altima near 18th Avenue and Bergen Street at around 10:30 p.m., police said.
The Altima then sped away from the scene, heading westbound on 18th Avenue.
Lawson was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
