Brentwood Boy, 14, Finds 6-Week-Old Baby In Shoe Box
BRENTWOOD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A 14-year-old boy in Brentwood found a 6-week-old baby girl in a shoe box on his back porch Thursday night, Suffolk County police said.
Police said Franklin Ulloa, of Washington Avenue, heard a baby crying and went outside to find the girl in a shoe box with a bottle of milk.
He told his family, who brought the baby inside and called 911.
She was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where she is in good health, police said. Child protective services was called.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and asked anyone with information to call Third Squad detectives at 631-854-8352.
