6 Tenants Evacuated When Bricks Fall From Greenwich Village Building

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- People in Greenwich Village had to make a run for it Sunday when bricks from a building started crashing to the ground.

A collapse zone was set up at 181 Bleecker St., between MacDougal and Sullivan streets, when bricks and debris fell from the second floor just before 11 a.m.

No one was hurt, but six tenants had to evacuate over concerns that the building might be unstable.

The three-story building was being inspected late Sunday.
