WATCH: Carmelo Anthony Defends His Legacy In Hilarious New Commercial

Bryan Altman

One of the hottest topics every basketball season for New York sports fans revolves around the question of Carmelo Anthony's greatness -- or lack thereof. Is the nine-time all-star just good, or is he great? Is he a good team player? Will he ever win a championship, and if not, what is his NBA legacy?

Well, in Foot Locker's latest commercial for its "Week of Greatness" campaign Anthony addressed all of those issues during a hilarious exchange with a few unabashedly confrontational fans.

The back and forth begins with Anthony saying, "I've experienced my fair share of greatness," to which one of the fans responds, "I mean you're definitely really good ... but greatness?"

Then Anthony counters by saying he's a "nine-time all-star," which the fans point out is "more of a popularity contest."

Anthony can't even get any credit for his three Olympic gold medals as the fans quickly point out he wont them "against, like, Peru."

But Anthony pulls the trump card when he asks the two if they "spend a lot of time commenting on the internet." When they meekly acknowledge that they do, Anthony says "that's what I thought" and walks away.

Before Anthony's Week of Greatness ad launched, Foot Locker released an equally riotous one featuring Tom Brady mocking Deflategate and the punishment he received for his involvement.

Bryan Altman is, for some reason, an unabashed fan of the Rangers, Jets and Mets. If he absolutely had to pick a basketball team it would be the Knicks, but he'd gladly trade them for a championship for any of his other three teams.
