Bronx Residents Flock To Yankee Stadium For Free Thanksgiving Turkeys
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Hundreds of Bronx residents are flocked to Yankee Stadium Thursday to get their hands on a free turkey voucher to help fill their Thanksgiving table.

Residents began lining up as early as Wednesday night to participate in the annual New York Yankees turkey voucher giveaway, which kicked off Thursday morning.
Matilda got up at 2:30 in the morning to make the pilgrimage to the ballpark.
"This is very important to be because I'm broke, and it comes right in time," she told 1010 WINS' Glenn Schuck.
Another resident, Brenda, told Shuck she waited outside since midnight to get her voucher.
"We're happy they're giving out free vouchers today so that we can go home and get a turkey for Thanksgiving," she said.
The free turkey vouchers are available to Bronx residents only. More than 2,500 vouchers are expected to be distributed.
Residents will be able to redeem their vouchers at local C-Town and Bravo Supermarkets.
