LISTEN: Eli Manning Says He Wants Younger Giants To Enjoy The Ride

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The last time the Giants won the Super Bowl Odell Beckham Jr. was a 19-year-old freshman at LSU. Rookie cornerback Eli Apple, meanwhile, was just 16.

For many players on Big Blue's roster, they're tasting success for the first time on the NFL level. And fortunately they have a two-time Super Bowl MVP quarterback to help guide the way.

Eli Manning told WFAN's Mike Francesa on Monday that his message to his younger teammates is: "You've got to enjoy this. This is fun.

"We're playing for great things right now, and every game's important, and it's not a time to be stressed out or to be nervous about it," Manning said. "It's exciting. It is different. It's a different feeling when you're preparing for these games when you know what each one means, especially in our division, where it's so tight right now."

It's not just the younger players who are savoring the Giants' 7-3 start. Running back Rashad Jennings, who is 31 and in his seventh NFL season, is hoping to play in the postseason for the first time.

"He talked about the other week to the offense just about you've got to take advantage of this and enjoy this environment," Manning said.
