Man Steps On Manhole Cover, Suffers Electrical Shock
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A walk on the West Side ended with a man suffering an electrical shock.
He claims he was burned when he stepped on a manhole cover on 11th Avenue near 57th Street.
The shock split open his shoe and burned his leg.
The man refused medical attention.
Rain can cause that type of reaction, but it is unclear whether the weather played a role in the incident.
Con Ed responded to the scene and checked for stray voltage.
