LISTEN: Victor Cruz Says Giants Won't Get Caught Looking Past Steelers

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Despite that the Giants have squeaked out most of their wins, sometimes in particularly ugly fashion, wide receiver Victor Cruz says they're a confident bunch.

"We feel great," Cruz said Tuesday on Mike Francesa's WFAN show. "Whether you win by one or win by a hundred, you still won. So that's the only thing that we care about it is stacking these victories and making sure these W's continue to come to us, and that comes with preparation. But we definitely feel like an 8-3 team. We feel like we're preparing the right way and getting ourselves in position to win these games."

The Giants face a hungry Steelers team (6-5) on the road Sunday. But is there any chance Big Blue could get caught looking ahead to the Dec. 11 showdown against the 10-1 Cowboys?

"The Steelers are definitely big enough for us to focus on this one week, and I think Coach Mac (Ben McAdoo) spoke about it today -- we can't beat these next five teams in one week," Cruz said. "We have to take our time and go one week at a time and face these teams with a full head of steam, with great preparation, understanding exactly how we want to come at this team and how we want to win against this team."

But everyone knows Dallas is next, right?

"Of course," Cruz admitted.
