Reports: Giants' Beckham Fined $12K For Verbally Abusing Official

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Odell Beckham Jr.'s beef with the officials in the Giants' loss Sunday to the Steelers will reportedly cost him over $12,000 -- and possibly more.

The Giants wide receiver has been fined $12,154, to be exact, for verbal abuse and excessive profanity toward an official on the field during the game, according to multiple reports.

After the game, Beckham told reporters that the officiating crew should not be allowed to work any future Giants games, arguing that they missed pass interference and defensive holding penalties against him.

On Wednesday, Beckham continued to rip the officials saying, "Stevie Wonder can see it" when calls are missed.

It's unclear when Beckham verbally abused the official. The wideout did say one official told him to "get out of my face" after he was flagged for offensive pass interference.

His postgame remarks could result in a separate fine.

The NFL has fined Beckham at least four other times this season, totaling more than $96,000.
