'Brady Bunch' Star Susan Olsen Fired From LA Radio Station Over Alleged Anti-Gay Slur

LOS ANGELES (CBSNewYork/AP) --  Former Brady Bunch star Susan Olsen has been fired after she got into an online confrontation with openly gay actor Leon Acord-Whiting, according to a Los Angeles radio station.

LA Talk Radio said Friday that it does not tolerate hateful speech and that it has severed ties with Olsen, best known as Cindy Brady on the 1970's TV series.

The station "takes pride in its close and collaborative relationship with the LGBT community, and will continue to provide a home for those who have hopeful and positive messages of togetherness and tolerance to share with our listeners," LA Talk Radio posted on Facebook. "We will always support all of our friends around the world."

Us Weekly reports Acord-Whiting criticized the co-host of Two Chicks Talkin' Politics after he was a guest on the show.

Olsen posted on her Facebook page that Acord-Whiting blocked her "before I could even get one hit in."

Acord-Whiting later posted a screenshot of a Facebook message he says Olsen sent to him. In the screenshot, Olsen appears to call the actor an anti-gay slur.

On her Facebook page, Olsen's co-host, Sheena Metal, who describes herself as "as an out and proud member of the LGBTQIA community, said Olsen, "Has perpetually been a kind and loving soul, whom my mother considered a second daughter and whom I considered a sister. There were many things that led up Susan's inflammatory remarks of two days ago, many of which I am sure she will discuss publicly herself, when she is ready. However, none of those things made what she said "right" or "okay", by any means or for any reason."
