12/18 CBS2 Sunday Evening Weather Headlines
By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer
What a rollercoaster of weather we've had today! Starting off mild with areas of heavy rain, and now we are seeing temps tumble as a cold front moves through!
Temps will drop below freezing so quickly that we anticipate patchy black ice through the night. It's gonna be a bonafide cold one out there with temps in the single digits and teens, with low 20s around NYC.
Tomorrow will be a frigid start to the work week with highs barely making it to 30 in NYC despite plenty of sunshine...so make sure you layer up! A bit warmer Tuesday with highs in the upper 30s, and seasonably cool in the mid 40s Wednesday as the winter solstice arrives!
Stay warm tonight & be careful out on the roads!
