Teen Shot Dead Inside Brooklyn Apartment Building
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The New York City Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon in Brooklyn's East Flatbush neighborhood.
NYPD officers responded to reports of a male shot inside of 136 E. 52nd St. just before 3:30p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found 19-year-old Deshonne Mitchell with a single gunshot wound to the back.
Medics transported Mitchell to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
