2 Men Injured In Times Square Stabbing, Police Say
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are investigating an early morning stabbing in Times Square that sent two men to the hospital.
According to police, the two 25-year-old men, both of New York City, were stabbed on West 42nd Street at around 3 a.m. Sunday. One man was stabbed in the chest, and the other received wounds to his neck and shoulder, CBS2's Ali Bauman reported.
Both men were taken to Bellevue Hospital for their injuries, police said.
"Cops are always out here, around this town, patrolling the area," Dwayne Cruz, who works nearby, told Bauman. "It's rare that things like this actually happen. A little robbing, but stabbing -- it's unlikely."
Authorities say the stabbing stemmed from a dispute that escalated, 1010 WINS Roger Stern reported.
Authorities are searching for two suspects -- a man and a woman -- both believed to be in their 20s. Police say the male suspect was last seen wearing jeans and a dark shirt, and the woman was last seen wearing a beige jacket.
