WATCH: Coast Guard & Firefighters Save Dolphin Stranded In New Jersey
NORTH WILDWOOD, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Firefighters and the Coast Guard recently came to the rescue of a dolphin that was stranded in New Jersey.
Three of the mammals got stuck on a sandbar near North Wildwood on Monday afternoon.
Two eventually freed themselves, but one needed a helping hand. Firefighters had to lift it out of the water.
Coast Guard officials then took the dolphin to deeper water, where it was released.
