Police Officer Accused Of Assaulting Teen In Carteret, New Jersey

CARTERET, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A police officer in Carteret, New Jersey is accused of beating up a teenager.

A photo of the teen appears to show both of his eyes swollen shut.

Prosecutors say Officer Joseph Reiman punched him several times following a car chase.

Reiman was charged with assault, plus misconduct for failing to activate his body camera.

Prosecutors say much of what happened was captured on the officer's cruiser camera.
