NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police were investigating Sunday night after a body was found floating in the Harlem River.

Police were called at 12:30 p.m. for a call of a person floating in the water in the river near the Macomb’s Dam Bridge, police said.

They found a man unconscious and unresponsive near the rocks, police said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The New York City Medical Examiner’s office will determine the cause of his death.
