NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — It was a close call for one man in Brooklyn Monday, after a split-second decision saved his life from a falling safe.
Authorities say the man was installing a giant safe this morning at a rabbinical college on 39th Street in Borough Park.
The safe started tilting, and luckily the door was open.
The man moved inside as it crashed to the floor, trapping him.
Firefighters lifted the safe just enough so he could slide out.
The man sustained only minor injuries.
