Child Hurt After Falling Out Of Window On Staten Island
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 6-year-old boy was injured after falling from a window on Staten Island Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called around 4:45 p.m. after authorities said say the child fell from a window of a home on Stonegate Drive in the Concord section of the borough.
Police learned that the boy had been in a room on the third floor during the time of the incident. He had been playing with his brother inside the room, and he climbed onto a chair before falling out the window, sources said.
The boy was rushed to Richmond University Medical Center in serious but stable condition, and is expected to recover.
No criminality was involved in the incident, police said.
