Bug Bomb Blows Out Windows Of Brownsville Apartment Building

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) --It might be a job best left for the exterminator.

A bug bomb was being blamed for an apartment explosion in Brooklyn.

"I jumped up, because I didn't know what was going on," a neighbor told 1010 WINS' Al Jones.

Several windows were missing from a second floor unit at a Brownsville apartment building, and there was smoke in the air.

Police believe a pilot light on the stove ignited the bomb.

A few residents were shaken up, but nobody was seriously hurt.
