Chairlift Breaks Down At Windham Mountain In Upstate New York

WINDHAM, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – Skiers and snowboarders hitting the slopes experienced chairlift troubles Saturday at the Windham Mountain ski resort in upstate New York.

One of the lifts broke down for more than an hour, forcing crews to lower some people by rope.

There was no word on what went wrong.

Once the lift was up and running again, the resort offered free rides for the rest of the day.
