1 Injured When SUV Backs Into Chinatown Restaurant

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- One person was reported injured Sunday after a Jeep backed into a restaurant in Chinatown.

The accident happened Sunday on Chatham Square, officials said.

It damaged the basement door of the restaurant, cracked the outside wall, and knocked down a street sign.

The FDNY said one person was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital with a minor injury.

There was no word late Sunday of any charges against the driver.
