Judge And Stanton To Play Together For 1st Time Wednesday

DUNEDIN, Fla. (AP) — Sluggers Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton will be in the New York Yankees' lineup together for the first time in Wednesday's game against Detroit.

Judge will get one or two at-bats as the designated hitter in his first game since offseason left shoulder surgery, while Stanton will play right field.

"He's in a good place," Yankees manager Aaron Boone said of Judge on Tuesday. "He's rarin' to go."

Barring any issues, Judge will the right fielder Friday against Atlanta.

Stanton, the 2017 NL MVP after hitting 59 homers, was obtained from Miami in December. Judge homered 52 times en route to becoming the AL Rookie of the Year last season.

Also, left-hander CC Sabathia will make his first spring start Thursday and right-hander Masahiro Tanaka will pitch Friday.
