Police: Statues Vandalized Outside Of New Jersey Church

VERONA, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Police in New Jersey say someone damaged statues at a church in Verona.

Investigators say three statues were vandalized at Our Lady of the Lake Church. The damage was discovered on Palm Sunday, but may have occurred last month.

Verona police and the Essex County Prosecutor's Office are investigating the incident as a bias crime and are checking surveillance video from nearby homes.
