Several Buildings Evacuated After Manhole Explosion In Brighton Beach

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Crews are on the scene of a manhole explosion in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn.

It happened just before 11 a.m. along Brighton 8th Street just off of Ocean View Avenue.

Three buildings containing about 15 people were evacuated due to high levels of carbon monoxide.

Seven buildings were left without power.

The Fire Department and Con Ed are on the scene.
