Visit Queen’s County Farm Museum

If you’re looking to pick the perfect pumpkin, their pumpkin patch will be open in the month of October. There will also be special, autumn-themed events such as an apple festival and a children’s fall festival!
New York Film Festival
For 49 years, filmmakers have been coming to New York to participate in the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s New York Film Festival. The 17-day event, which will be held from Sept. 30 – Oct. 16, showcases not only the year’s best new work, but also the classics. Additionally, filmmakers will be there to give an insider’s prospective of your favorite film and the realities of the business.
Go To Kid’s Fall Fest
Put on your Halloween costume and come down to Madison Square Park on Oct. 15 for Kid’s Fall Fest. At this free event, kids will be able to enjoy face painting, live music, snacks, arts and crafts, games and more! The Big Apple Circus will be there to lead a costume parade in the park.
Check Out The Columbus Day Parade
For 40 years, Columbus Day has been celebrated in New York City with the Columbus Day Parade on fifth avenue. Celebrate the founding of America, Italian-American heritage and a day off from school and check out the parade on Oct. 11.
