When the temperature is extreme outside, parents want to take the kids indoors, but indoors doesn’t always have to mean back inside the home. That is where indoor playgrounds come in handy. Here are some of the most popular indoor playgrounds.

Reviews & More Info This Chelsea spot is a neighborhood favorite. Even if you don’t live nearby, it’s worth the trip. Kids will love the extensive water play and the indoor tree house. (Be forewarned: you will probably have to drag your kid away at the end of your play time.) Besides enjoying a little break, caregivers will appreciate how bright, clean and hygienic the space is kept. It is definitely one of our current favorites.

Every indoor play area has something unique about it. At 74th St. MAGIC there are both indoor and outdoor play areas. If the weather is not so great, kids can run and play in the indoor gym area. On the flip-side, if the day is beautiful outside, then kids can enjoy time spent outside on their rooftop playground. (Don’t worry…it’s very safe.) Either way, the kids will have a blast.

Reviews & More Info No matter the location, kids have a blast at NY Kids Club. The (soft, springy) flooring sets their play space apart from the competition. The trampoline and rock-climbing wall are also big hits. The open play times warrant getting a membership to this club.

Reviews & More Info Caregivers who live in Queens sing the praises of this space. It has a reputation for being clean and safe. (You have to be careful at some indoor playgrounds that welcome a variety of ages, because the older kids can run right over the little ones!) Kids Fun House actually separates the kids into two different areas. There is a toddler area for ages 3 months to 3 years old. While the bigger playground is good for kid ages 3 years to 11 years. There are mazes, slides and so much more.
