Doug Thompson

Doug made his 1010 WINS debut on Christmas Eve 1994, stepped in as overnight sports anchor in the Spring of ’95, and settled into his current spot as afternoon drive sports anchor in the Fall of 1996.

He is a 1987 graduate of Columbia University, where he called Lions’ football, basketball and baseball games on WKCR.

Movie credits include “Copland” and “Philadelphia, Mississippi.” He is partial to the Yankees and the Knicks; enjoys cooking, bid whist, golf and the music of Pavement and Neil Young. All-time favorite athletes include Don Maynard, Graig Nettles, Charles Oakley and Earl Campbell.
