Ginny Kosola

Ginny Kosola editI’m proud to have been associated with WCBS-AM for most of my career.  My career path has always seemed to point me to CBS, and I’m happy to be part of the 880 news team.

When I’m reporting, I try to ask the questions you’d want answered, and when I am anchoring, I do my best to present the big picture.

As a young reporter/anchor at WFIL-AM in Philadelphia, I contributed stories to UPI Radio, which were broadcast on WCBS  and other stations.  When I became a UPI Correspondent and bureau manager, WCBS aired my reports  on Presidential campaigns; Wall Street; the United Nations; the Seoul Olympics and the arts.

I joined CBS in Chicago as anchor/reporter at the award-winning WCBS sister-station WBBM. Since returning to New York, I have spent most of my career here at 880, (with a break to work at Wall Street Journal Radio). My work has been awarded by the NY Press Club; the Associated Press; The Headliners’ Club; Women in Communications; and I’m also a recipient of the Peter Lisagor Award.
