Jerry Recco
Jerry Recco has been with WFAN since 1997 and has been heard regularly handling the 20/20 updates in the overnight and on weekends. Beginning with the 2004 football season, Jerry has added the role of pre and post game host for Giants football coverage. In addition, Jerry also covers the New Jersey Nets for WFAN.
Jerry begain his career at WFAN first as an intern and then moved up to producer and board operator, before taking over as the overnight anchor.
He left the FAN for a short time to disc jockey at FM106.3 in New Jersey and anchor sports at Sportsphone before returning in April 2000 as part-time anchor and full-time board operator for the Mike and the Mad Dog show.
Born in Brooklyn and raised in New Jersey, Jerry received a BA in Media Arts from Jersey City State College.
Jerry is an avid golfer and Dallas Cowboys fan. Although Steve Somers hates the Dallas Cowboys, he and Jerry have worked through their differences! In fact, Jerry’s favorite on-air moment is when Steve introduced Jerry to the listening audience for the first time. It was a memorable experience since Steve is the first person Jerry ever heard on WFAN.
Jerry, his wife Kim and his son Matthew currently reside on the Jersey Shore.
