A news junkie who began reading the paper while in grade school, Lori combined her other obsession, radio, with her love of current events while at NYU. She worked at the student run radio station WNYU-FM (89.1) as a news anchor and reporter. And hasn’t stopped since.
Her first professional job as a newscaster was at WGSM-AM in Huntington where she did the Sunday morning “graveyard” shift while still a student at NYU. She later worked at WGLI-AM and WALK-FM on Long Island and was soon contributing “stringer” reports to 1010 WINS where she also picked up shifts as a freelance writer and NYC reporter. After stints anchoring the news on the former WNEW-FM and serving as news director at Shadow Broadcast Services, Lori returned to WINS as a news anchor in 1999 and was named an afternoon drive anchor in 2005.
“I love having a front row seat to the day’s news and there is no better place in NYC to have that seat than at 1010 WINS.”
