Sonia Rincon
Sonia Rincón is a “hybrid” at 1010 WINS. You might hear her reporting on the streets or at the anchor microphone.
Born in Spain and raised in 4 out of 5 Boroughs of New York, Sonia has been a news junkie and 1010 WINS fan for as long as she can remember.
Her journalism career began at Emerson College in Boston, where she served as news director of the legendary college radio station WERS-FM.
Since then, Sonia has reported and anchored the news for stations all over the east coast including KYW Newsradio 1060 in Philadelphia, WGAN-AM and WPOR-FM in Portland, Maine, WFIR-AM and WSLC-FM in Roanoke, Virginia, and WLAD-AM and WTIC-AM in Connecticut, picking up various awards along the way.
But for Sonia, nothing beats telling the stories of New York.
Sonia lives in the Bronx, is a die-hard Yankees fan and a proud member of the alumni of LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and Performing Arts. She is the daughter of Flamenco guitarist Reynaldo Rincón.
