Tracee Carrasco joined CBS 2 and WLNY 10/55 in June 2013 as a general assignment reporter.
Previously, Carrasco worked as a reporter at WKRN-TV, the ABC affiliate in Nashville, Tennessee and as an anchor at KQDS-TV, the Fox affiliate in Duluth, Minnesota. She also worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor in Torrance, California for CitiCable 3, although her first on-air reports were feature segments as a Financial Reporter on Fox Business Network. Throughout her career, Carrasco has received several Emmy nominations for her work as a reporter and anchor.
From a very young age, Carrasco knew she wanted to be a journalist. Her great grandmother always used to say, “Tracee asked too many questions.” It was that curiosity, passion for storytelling and love of current events that inspired Carrasco to follow her dreams and leave a corporate job to pursue a career as a TV news reporter.
Carrasco is a Cum Laude graduate from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California with a degree in Communication Studies. Carrasco is a former competitive figure skater and grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii as well as Southern California. She is thrilled to call Manhattan home now. In her spare time, Carrasco loves to travel, attend sporting events and concerts, take a spin or yoga class, try new restaurants and spend time with her dog, a puggle she adopted after covering a news story at an animal shelter in Tennessee.
