A picture is worth a thousand words? Hardly ! It’s worth so much more that Avogadro doesn’t have a number large enough. Pictures are history laid out before us. Were it not for Dorothea Lang and the rest at FSA who would know about the dust bowl except those who were there and now are gone … or visual war deaths were it not for D. Duncan, or WW II without Edward Steichen, G. Silk and so many more. Jacque Daguerre rests peacfully knowing that he helped create the medium that changed the world … either in still photos or, later, in pictures that moved. And a great big THANK YOU to the National Geograph photographers who take us from the womb to the tomb with many stops along the way !
