A London man who claimed he was assaulted in a possible “knockout” attack while in Brooklyn for a wedding has since said the attack never happened.
A tourist from London in town for a wedding was attacked and beaten in Brooklyn early Tuesday, in what a City Councilman said might have been another “knockout” attack.
Four suspects were being held Saturday morning in a string of violent attacks in Brooklyn, known as the “knockout game.”
Dina Perez, 56, got off a southbound F train at the 18th Avenue station around 2:40 a.m. when the man attacked her, police said. He fled with unspecified personal items he stole from the woman, police said.
Police were asking for the public’s help Tuesday in finding the man who assaulted and robbed a woman on the stairs at an elevated subway station in Borough Park, Brooklyn.
