A man who nearly lost his life in New York City’s first instance of bubonic plague in more than 100 years back in 2002 has died of an unrelated illness in a Santa Fe, New Mexico, hospital, his wife said Thursday.

Man Convicted Of Shooting Wine Bar Patrons, Dousing Them With Kerosene

A 45-year-old man was convicted Monday of shooting three people and dousing numerous others with kerosene, during a hostage ordeal at a wine bar in the East Village nearly 11 years ago.
