7 World Trade Center
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey confirmed ice was falling from 1 World Trade Center. The Brookfield Place/West Concourse entrance remained open for PATH customers.
In recent days, huge chunks of ice have been plummeting from the 1,776-foot skyscraper as well as its the 52-story 7 World Trade Center.
The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan said it was “simply incompatible with common sense and experience to hold that defendants were required to design and construct a building that would survive the events of September 11, 2001.”
New York City passed another milepost Wednesday on the road to recovery from the 9/11 attacks. One of the badly damaged buildings torn down near ground zero is now standing at its full 14-story height.
