Rep. Israel Calls On FDA To Expedite Study Into Potentially Carcinogenic Turkey Drug

An arsenic-based drug called nitarson is given to turkeys to prevent a disease in the birds and the FDA is looking into whether to drug elevates the arsenic level in the mean beyond what would occur naturally.

New Study Finds Concerning Levels Of Arsenic In Rice Products

The study found higher levels of arsenic in brown rice than white rice because of the way it’s processed. It also found higher levels of arsenic in rice produced in southern states than in rice from California or Asia.
